wireless
Kijoma has connected the Duke of Kent school in Surrey to its extensive wireless broadband network. The school formerly used mobile broadband dongles with speeds around 30 to 60 kbps, marginally better than dial up. Now they experience our up to 13 Mbps service with much delight. Kijoma takes over Silchester mesh network

Hot on the heels of our recent successful migration of a problematic and slow mesh system in Plaistow, West Sussex to our high speed and secure offering we have another one!

We have secured the take over of another mesh network and will be replacing it with our high speed network in the coming months. This time the existing network covers a relatively small area to the south of Silchester with speeds of up to 2 Mbps max. The new network to replace it will cover a larger area encompassing the RG7 2xx and RG26 5xx post codes.

Kijoma finalises conversion of Plaistow Sussex from WiFi Mesh
(2157 reads)
wireless
Back in July, Kijoma officially took over the WiFi Mesh system present in the Village of Plaistow, West sussex. This system gave "up to" 1 Mbps to each customer, used 2.4 GHz WiFi? in an insecure mode and relied on 15 node aerials just to cover 3/4 of the village.

We are pleased to say we have installed over 50 customers in the village with our service while also adding people who were unable to gain service from the old system during its eventful 4 year lifetime. The old Mesh system will imminently be closed down when the last few customers are migrated in the coming week.
